Two men and two juveniles are behind bars after authorities allegedly caught smuggling more than 200 pounds of marijuana in Brownsville.

U.S. Border Patrol agents detained the four on a river levee inside city limits on Thursday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that 44-year-old Hector Rodriguez, 18-year-old Jose Alberto Gonzalez and two juveniles had several bundles with 205.3 pounds of marijuana.

Border Patrol agents turned the four over to Brownsville police for prosecution on state possession of marijuana charges.

All four suspects remained in custody as of Friday morning.
