The Cameron County District Attorney’s race winner will fill the seat currently held by Armando Villalobos.

Democrat Luis Saenz defeated Republican Chuck Mattingly at the polls.

“The voters want to restore the face of the legislative system,” said Saenz. “I have accepted the challenge, and I will respond accordingly.”
