A car crash caused the southbound lane of the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge to be temporarily closed on Monday.

Authorites were pursuing the car before it crashed near the bridge.

The crash happened around noon. It is unknown when the southbound lane will re-open.

Action 4 News will provide new details as more information becomes known.
