A man is dead and another person is behind bars following a Sunday morning accident.

McAllen Police said it happened on the 2300 block of east Expressway 83.

They said the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed--when they lost control and crashed into a cement barrier.

The passenger was ejected and died on scene.

The driver of that car will be charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Manslaughter.

The crash remains under investigation.
