Three seriously injured after illegal immigrant high speed chase

An illegal immigrant is in custody after he led La Joya police on a high speed chase through three Valley cities.

Police told Action 4 News that the driver refused to stop. He was carrying five illegal immigrants in the car.

They said the suspect reached speeds of up to 90 mph on the expressway before crashing into another vehicle.

Mission police are handling part of the investigation. They said three people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The suspects charges are pending.

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
