A children’s daycare center in Pharr scared up trouble when its permit renewal was initially denied by the health department for a critical health code violation.
               
Miracle Learning Center on 2901 North Sugar Road scored 10 demerits.
               
But one violation got the daycare center into trouble: improper hot water temperature.
               
A health inspector noted on the report it should be at least 100 degrees.
               
The center’s temperature was listed at 82 degrees.
               
Blanca Rodriguez, the center’s owner, said the violation could lead to improper sanitation.
               
She has about 30 kids enrolled.
               
Blanca told the Food Patrol that it was likely only under the required mark for about a week because of a breaker problem.
               
“We had it fixed over the weekend,” she said.  “By Wednesday for the re-inspection, our permit was renewed.”
