McAllen woman goes missing after bike ride

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding a McAllen woman who went for bicycle ride and never made it back home.

McAllen police told Action 4 News that they have an active missing persons investigation for 38-year-old Yolanda Nickelson.

Family members told police that they last saw her riding her bicycle around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Nickelson has not been heard from or seen since that time prompting concern for her well-being.

The missing woman is described as having black hair, 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 120 pounds. 

She is last seen wearing a dark in color tank top, khaki pants, and sandals riding a dark-colored bicycle.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts is asked  to call McAllen police at (956) 681-2000.
