A weekend bar fight in San Benito lands a couple in jail and left a man missing a chunk out of his ear.

It all happened at the Sports Bar and Grill off of Sam Houston Boulevard on Friday night.

That’s where police said a woman jumped on the victims back and bit his ear.

San Benito police said the missing piece of the man’s ear is nowhere to be found.

Police said women got into an altercation, which escalated into a fight between Peter Suarez and the male victim.

Investigators said 31-year-old Suarez and 26-year-old Maria Alicia Rodriguez ganged up on the victim and attacked him.

Suarez allegedly struck him with a beer bottle while Rodriguez jumped on his back and bit off a chunk of his right ear.

The victim is in San Antonio for reconstructive surgery on his ear.

San Benito police are looking for a third suspect identified as 45-year-old Maria Elena Machuco.

Both Saurez and Rodriguez are expected to be arraigned on aggravated assault charges on Thursday morning.
