$500,000 bond for UTPA kidnapping suspect

Police officially charged one of the men accused of kidnapping a UTPA student last week.

Investigators charged Miguel Angel Navarro on an aggravated kidnapping charge.

Police told Action 4 News that Navarro and another man forced a young woman inside his car about two weeks ago.

The student was found safely one day later.

Details about Navarro’s arrest were not immediately available.

Navarro appeared before an Edinburg municipal judge on Wednesday afternoon where he was issued a $500,000 dollar bond.
