Tangled hoses lead to workplace beating, threats

A worker at a Port Of Brownsville facility is out on bond after a workplace fight where he allegedly beat and threatened a co-worker.

Port of Brownsville police arrested 46-year-old Omar Salgado on an aggravated assault on Monday evening.

Court records show that it all happened at a dockyard for Esco Marine.

Investigators reported that Salgado and the 37-year-old victim were working when their hoses became tangled.

The victim told police that Salgado got upset and a fight started.

According to the victim, Salgado beat him, hit him with rocks and even told victim if he had a knife, he would stab him.

The victim said Salgado went further and said that if had a gun, he would shoot him.

Co-workers pulled the two apart and police later arrested Salgado.

County jail records show that Salgado was released on a $25,000 dollar bond on Wednesday morning.
