Body found on beach: Identified as Irving man

The man whose body was found washed up Saturday on South Padre Island Beach Access 6 has been identified.

Authorities have identified him as 35-year-old Jeremy Tyrone Eyster, of Irving Texas.

A bystander came across Eyster’s body just north of Beach Access 6 Saturday afternoon, and immediately notified the Cameron County Precinct 1 Constable.

Sheriff Omar Lucio said that when the body was found, there was blood was on Eyster’s face.

Eyster’s family has been notified and an autopsy has been ordered.

Sheriff Omar Lucio said that the death is being treated as a homicide until they get more evidence from a pathologist.
