Elderly Brownsville man hit by car remains unidentified

Authorities are working to identify and elderly man who was hit by a car in Brownsville early Thursday morning.

Brownsville police said the accident happened on the 900 block of Minnesota Road around 6:50 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators said the man in his 70s was crossing the street when a car hit him.

The elderly man had injuries to one of his legs and head.

Paramedics airlifted him to a hospital in San Antonio for treatment.

The man did not have any identification but police said he was wearing a white shirt over shorts.

The driver is not facing charges at this time but the accident remains under investigation.
