Rollover shuts down portions of 10th St. for hours

A vehicle accident in McAllen causing scattered power outages during the lunch hour.

Authorities told Action 4 News a vehicle rolled over on North 10th Street in between Dove and Jay near Hillbilly’s night club just after 1 p.m.

The roads mentioned above will be shut down for about three hours due to power lines according to a McAllen city spokesman.

The McAllen school district is being advised to utilize alternate routes to get students home.

Police are trying to determine what caused the driver to crash.

The drive was transported to a local hospital.

AEP and Magic Valley Co-op are working to restore power in the area.
