Authorities are working to clear an accident that has tied up Thursday morning traffic on the westbound lanes of Expressway 83 in Pharr.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes of the expressway just above Cage Boulevard.

Police are diverting traffic off the expressway and on the frontage road.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
