The Red Cross and Skyline Property Management are working together to help out the families who were affected by a Saturday evening fire.
The fire happened at the Skyline on Grimes apartment complex located off East Grimes Avenue in Harlingen.
A total of four families lost their homes in the blaze.
Two of the apartments on the second floor of the complex were affected by fire damage and two apartments on the first floor experienced water damage.
Management said that the fire was accidental and started in one of the second floor apartments.
A mother with three sons, an 11-year-old, 13-year-old and 18-year-old, lost everything.
The families have been given hotel stay for a week and will be moved to four new apartment complexes.
