Authorities are investigating an three-vehicle accident caused by a car going the wrong way down a one-way street in Harlingen.

The accident happened at the intersection of South 77 Sunshine Strip and East Tyler Avenue just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that a vehicle was going the wrong way down East Tyler Avenue causing an accident with an SUV and a car.

It's not clear why the vehicle was going the wrong way down the street but the accident remains under investigation.
