Authorities have reopened beaches at all Cameron County parks now that waves from Hurricane Isaac have gone down.

Cameron County officials shut down the beaches on Tuesday night due to high tides and dangerous riptides.

But Hurricane Isaac made landfall in Louisiana last night prompting the tides to go down.

The beaches are open but county officials are now assessing the beaches to see if there are any damages.
