Authorities are raiding a Port Isabel home owned by an Edinburg man who was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug trafficking in Georgia.

It all happened at a home at 1009 Trout Avenue around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

About 10 law enforcement vehicles are at the home.

It’s not clear what the nature of the raid is but deputy constables are standing guard outside the home.

Property records show that Raul Prado bought the $102,000 dollar home back in April 2010.

A jury in Georgia convicted the 56-year-old Edinburg man of a possession of marijuana with intent to distribute charge back in May.

Prado is currently incarcerated at the Gwinnett County Jail in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Court records show that a judge sentenced Prado to 15 years in prison back on August 7th.
