The remnants of what once was Tropical Depression 7 have taken on a new life. The system, currently located off the coast of Mexico in the Bay of Campeche, has become better organized. Shower and thunderstorm activity has increased, and the circulation has gotten better. As of 8 a.m. Friday, the National Hurricane Center had bumped up the probability of this area regaining its TD status to 70%, before it moves ashore. Even before the new forecast, the remnants were expected to bring rainfall to the Rio Grande Valley. The low pressure area is expected to move up the Mexican coast, and move in large amounts of moisture. The combination of the moisture and lift will begin to produce increasing chances of rain beginning Sunday, with the time frame continuing through Wednesday. Heaviest rains may be seen Monday-Tuesday.
