The school year is right around the corner and for some families, school supplies is not something they can afford.
Omar Rodriguez with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley stopped by Action 4 Sunrise to talk about their latest charity drive, "Stuff the Bus".
You can help families of the Rio Grande Valley prepare their kids for the upcoming school year by simply donating any school supplies you can.
On Saturday, August 11, 2012 they will be set up at the H-E-B in Mission located at 2409 E. Expressway 83.
They are looking for new school supplies such as: paper, pencils, crayons, backpacks, even monetary donations.
Some 50 percent of children in the Valley live below poverty level, so your donation could very well help a student out this school year.
Stuff the Bus is looking to help around 45 schools with this drive.
