Three people were arrested Sunday afternoon all linked to a hit and run in San Benito.

The police department received a phone call about a hit, run  and chase on the 1800 block of La Palma Street.

The caller said they saw the suspected vehicle fleeing the scene and being chased by the victim in her vehicle.

Police were able to catch up to the suspected vehicle and arrested the 18-year-old driver, Fredrick Eli Victor Martinez.

The alleged victim, chasing Martinez, was also stopped by San Benito police.

Officers said Cindy Torres Rodriguez, was engaging in reckless driving and endangering the public.

Rodriguez had help in the chase from her 31-year-old friend, Tomas Salinas Jr.

He was arrested for driving while his license was invalid/suspended.

They were all taken to city jail and arraigned by a municipal judge.

A $7,500 personal recognizance bond was set for all three of the suspects.
