Person of interest identified in fatal motorcycle accident

Authorities have identified a person of interest in an accident where a motorcycle driver got into a wreck and left his passenger to die on the side of the road.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) report that Jaime Jose Rogue-Muñoz is a person of interest in the deadly July 22nd accident.

It all happened near the intersection of Mile 2 West and Mile 14 ½ North near La Villa.

DPS state troopers said the driver of a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle lost control of bike and wiped out.

Investigators said the driver fled the scene and left 44-year-old passenger Melinda Ann Guerra to die.

Authorities believe Rogue-Muñoz lives in the Edcouch-Elsa area.

Anyone with information about Roguez-Muñoz’s whereabouts is asked to call the Weslaco DPS office at (956) 565-7600.
