Neighbors at a McAllen neighborhood said they never imagined what was happening inside a black Chevy Camaro they often saw parked near their homes.
He messed up his career and he messed up the boys life,one of the neighbors said. I don’t know, there's no words to can explain what happened.
The neighbor did not want to reveal his identity and asked to be called Angel, because some of his family members know Cuellar.
He witnessed early Friday morning as cops arrested Joel Josue Cuellar, 18, in front of his home.
The adult that was driving got off the car and was trying to handle his pants,Angel explained. There was a towel wrapped around the youngster... to cover the body area.
A McAllen Police officer caught the teen inside his car, pants down, allegedly molesting an 11-year-old boy.
Angel said he had often seen Cuellar's car parked out in the parking lot of the Bicentennial Soccer Fields on Bicentennial and Fern Avenue.
Usually, he parked in the darkness, under a light post that was no longer working, Angel recalled.
But he said, he never imagined what has happening inside the car.
If I would've known, things would've been different,Angel added. He really messed that little boys... I mean he's scarred for life.
Other neighbors said they too had seen the car parked out there for the past few months, especially during the evening and night times.
At night, at about 9 p.m., he would always park out there,Luisa Perez said.
She said she does not allow her children to play out in the park unattended.
After hearing what allegedly happened in that parked car Friday night, she said she will be keeping an even closer eye on her kids and who they're with.
Cuellar was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and issued a $250,000 dollar bond.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office said Cuellar posted bond and was released on Saturday morning.
