Weslaco police investigating overnight kidnapping

Weslaco Police Department are investigating an overnight kidnapping.

One person was taken Friday night from an unknown location.

Weslaco police are not releasing many details at this time.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department is assisting with the case.

PIO J.P. Rodriguez told Action 4 News, “Interim Police Chief Michael Kelley does not want to release any further information. They do not want to jeopardize the integrity of the case.”

Action 4 News will provide more information as new details become known.
