The suspect in a San Benito convenience store robbery is behind bars after being arrested on the other side of the Rio Grande Valley.

San Juan police arrested 23-year-old Christopher Vallejo Gamez on an outstanding warrant Friday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that that Gamez is the suspect in an early morning robbery of a convenience store in San Benito back on April 21st.

Gamez appeared before a San Benito municipal judge on Wednesday where he was issued a $75,000 dollar bond.
