One Rio Grande Valley congressman took to national airwaves to blast President Barack Obama's policy change regarding illegal immigration.

Congressman Blake Farenthold (R-Corpus Christi) appeared on the CNN show "Starting Point" with anchor Soledad O'Brien on Monday morning.

President Obama announced that he is halting deportation of young illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States but graduated high school and are seeking a college education.

Farenthold, whose district includes Willacy and Cameron Counties, blasted President Obama for "sidestepping" Congress.

But Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-Laredo) told Action 4 News that President Obama acted within the boundaries of the law and that his actions are lawful and legal.
