Construction workers outnumbered voters in the Little Mexico area just south of Alamo.

Action 4 News visited the Templo Inspiracion off El Gato Road where only three Repulicans and 25 Democrats had cast their ballots in the primary elections.

Poll workers couldn't camera and no voters showed up while Action 4 News was there.

The area is undergoing several public works projects but gang graffiti is a constant reminder of what happened here a few weeks ago.

That's when two students were shot at a bus stop.

The church serves as a polling location for the gang-riddled neighborhood and three other precincts.

It's a lonely polling place compared to another one just down the street on Tower Road near Expressway 83.

Dozens of politiqueras lined the streets and hundreds have turned out to vote at that locations.

Although they just have politicals for company, poll workers will remain at the Little Mexico location through 7 p.m. Tuesday.
