The city of Alton honored the late Sgt. Bradley Espinoza on Monday morning with an unveiling ceremony.

A plaque was made to honor the fallen soldier and many of those who came out to the ceremony dressed in light blue t-shirts.

The event was held at the baseball fields next to the Alton Recreation Center.

The 26-year-old was killed by an improvised explosive device while serving his third tour of duty in Iraq.
