A car accident in Harlingen turns into a bad case of road rage.

A Harlingen man told police he was driving on the 300 block of West Jefferson back in December of last year when a vehicle suddenly slammed into his car.

Instead of staying on the scene, the family in the other car walked away.

When the unidentified victim asked them to stay until police arrived, a man now identified as Fernando Galarza lunged at the victim stabbing him.

A warrant was issued for the suspected gang member.

He was finally arrested at his home on the 700 Block of West Buchanan on Wednesday.

Galarza is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
