The Texas Department of Transportation (DOT) is urging the public to buckle up or face a fine as part of their annual “Click It or Ticket” campaign.

Beginning May 21, the Brownsville Police Department will put extra officers on the streets in an attempt to enforce seat belt laws.

They'll be on the roads until June 3rd.

Texas DOT wants to remind the public that buckling up could save lives or prevent serious injury.
