Authorities have formally charged the suspect in a disturbance at a popular Harlingen night club.

Harlingen police charged 23-year-old Armando Alejandro Lopez on an aggravated assault charge on Wednesday.

Lopez is accused of a stabbing that took place at Rack Daddy’s night club off South 77 Sunshine Strip early Wednesday morning.

Harlingen police told Action 4 News that a fight started in the bathroom area of the club and spilled out into the parking lot.

Investigators said a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the back during the disturbance and that another man broke his foot.

Harlingen police arrested suspect Armando Lopez at the scene while interviewing witnesses and learning he had outstanding traffic tickets.

Lopez appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge where he was issued a $30,000 dollar bond and fined $1,174.30 for his traffic tickets.
