San Benito brothers arrested for possessing 175 lbs of marijuana

Two brothers were arrested in San Benito after law enforcement found 175 pounds of marijuana in their home.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents contacted the San Benito Police Department about a suspicious house on the 4000 block of Kornegay Road.

After ICE agents issued a search warrant, authorities found 13 bundles of marijuana inside the home where Mauro Ramirez and brother Heriberto Ramirez were staying.

The 33-year-old and 25-year-old were charged with possession of marijuana 2nd degree felony.

The brothers have a bond of $150,000 each.
