Cement truck accident shuts down frontage road in San Juan

Authorities have temporarily shut down the frontage road of Expressway 83 in San Juan following an accident involving a cement truck.

It all happened on the eastbound frontage road of Expressway 83 and South Steward Road early Friday morning.

Investigators said some 40 pounds of cement spilled on the roadway and dried.

San Juan officials shut down the frontage road until 1 p.m. Friday while they worked to clear the accicent.

It's not clear what caused the accident but authorities said the cement has been removed and the cement truck towed away.
