Donna police are searching for a man who fired shots at a car and pointed a gun at his mother in-law on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect, Carlos Diaz, got into an argument with his mother in-law and the brother in-law confronted Diaz about it.
At 3 p.m. Diaz fired two shots at a car on the 100 block of North 4th Street and then fled the scene.
A couple hours later, Diaz showed up at his mother in-laws home on the 500 block of Ellen Street.
He pointed a gun at her but did not fire.
He took off from the house and was last seen in a white car with Mexican license plates.
According to Donna Lt. Rick Suarez, a warrant for the man’s arrest has not been issued yet, but police are searching for him.
No injuries were reported in the drive-by shooting or at the mother in-law's home.
