McAllen Police Department is searching for a man that robbed a Stripes convenience store.
The robbery happened around 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Stripes store on 5600 Ware Rd. in McAllen.
Armed with a machete, the suspect demanded money from the store employee.
The suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash and fled southbound on foot.
He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’ 6” to 5’ 8”, 160 to 190 pounds and having a tattoo on his chest and right side of his neck.
The man was wearing a brown cap, blue long sleeve hooded sweater, baggy blue jeans and grey tennis shoes.
