Authorities are battling a tire fire located right off Expressway 77/83 just north of Brownsville.
It all happened at Red's Truck Sales off the expressway and Merryman Road shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Brownsville firefighters are working to contain the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time but authorities are worried about it spreading due to dry conditions.
Traffic along that stretch of the expressway has slowed down as onlookers stop to take photos of the fire.
