After a month-long investigation, McAllen police caught two men targeting storage units in the north side of the city.

Police told Action 4 News that over the last couple of months, the duo has managed to steal thousands of dollars worth of property.

Spread across four tables and some lying on the ground, McAllen police have recovered numerous items from the alleged thieves home.

Police have taken inventory, sorted out property and placed items that already have a claim on them in one area and those that don't in another.

“There are automotive parts, hand tools, power tools and other miscellaneous articles." Said Lt. Joel Morales.

Lt. Joel Morales told Action 4 News that they're hoping more people come forward to claim the items.

He said the two men accused of the crime, allegedly burglarized dozens of storage units in north McAllen and Pharr.

He added that while this case is still under investigation, there is a possibility that the pair has been involved in other storage unit burglaries.

If you need to make a claim with McAllen PD to get your items back simply call 956-681-2209.

Charges remain pending for the duo.
