One of the most recognizable faces in professional football paid a visit to the Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday.

Former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Troy Aikman was in Brownsville for a special event.

Aikman met with fans at the new Wing Stop Sports Bar off Central Boulevard.

The former quarterback is a paid spokesman for the company.

Aikman spoke signed autographs for fans and spoke to reporters.

The sports icon said he enjoyed his visit to Brownsville and has faith in his former team.
