$2M of pot seized from marshmallow shipment

More than $2 million dollars worth of marijuana is off the streets after authorities found it hidden inside a shipment of marshmallows.

 

An 18-wheeler was intercepted Tuesday trying to cross the Pharr/Reynosa International Bridge by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers.

 

X-Ray technology revealed the trucker was carrying 369 packages of marijuana mixed within the boxes of marshmallows. 

 

The estimated street value of the marijuana is approximately $2,252,000.
