A Brownsville woman is expected to face a judge after being arrested for selling fake Botox to federal agents in an undercover sting.

U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) agents arrested 43-year-old Gloria Olvido-Lopez on Wednesday.

A federal grand jury in Brownsville indicted Olvido-Lopez on Tuesday.

The Brownsville woman is accused of selling fake Botox to undercover federal agents back in 2010.

Federal prosecutors told Action 4 News that Olvido-Lopez advertised in a local classifieds ad and on eBay.

Investigators tested the products she sold and learned they were from a foreign nation and did not have Botox or its active ingredient.

Olvido-Lopez is expected to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald Morgan in Brownsville on Thursday morning.
