A Brownsville man is behind bars after he allegedly broke into a home to molest a 16-year-old girl.
Brownsville police arrested 51-year-old Guadalupe Muñiz on outstanding warrants on Friday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Muñiz is accused of an incident that was reported on New Year’s Day.
Police said a Muñiz is accused of entering the girl’s home without permission and molested her.
It's not clear how or if Muñiz knew the girl but detectives arrested him at his job at G.T. Paving off Mercedes Road on Friday.
Jail records show he faces indecency with a child and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault charges.
Muñiz appeared before a Brownsville municipal judge where he was issued a $30,000 dollars in bonds.
