Two men arrested in stabbing outside Brownsville club

Brownsville Police arrested two men in connection to a stabbing early Saturday morning at the Charlie’s Bar in downtown Brownsville.

Officers responded to the bar on 14th Street near Taft Street, at about 2 a.m.

According to Police, Omar Castillo, 34, and Salvador Gutierrez, 36, got into an argument with another group of men at the bar at around closing time.

The argument escalated into a fist fight at the parking lot.

Then police said Castillo and Gutierrez stabbed a man on the right hand.

Officers arrested the two men, the victim of the stabbing was transferred to the hospital with minor injuries.

Both Castillo and Gutierrez are expected to face charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
