A Weslaco man who beat his wife to death has been sentenced to life behind bars.

It took a Hidalgo County jury about an hour today to return with the sentencing for Pedro Villalobos.

Villalobos brutally beat his wife Farrah Lynn illalobos in February 2011.

Farrah spent a week in a coma before she died.

Villalobos has asked for another attorney for his appeal process.
