It all started on February 19, 2011.
Hidalgo County Sheriff deputies told Action 4 News that Pedro Villalobos severely beat his wife Farrah---that beating landed her in a coma and she died a week later.

"A part of our heart is missing,” Aurora Tafoya, Farrah’s mother, said. “I always miss her everyday and cry for her."
Aurora told Action 4 News she clearly remembered the day she received the phone call that Farrah was unconscious and needed to go to the hospital.
She said that day will haunt her forever.
"She didn't deserve this...she didn't deserve this...she loved him so much," Jamie Tafoya, Farrah’s sister, said.
Jury selection was underway on Monday—the trial for Villalobos is expected to start on Tuesday.
