Servando Saldivar told Action 4 News he never expected his 13-year-old son to come home with accusations that a teacher pushed him.

"He said a friend of his threw an eraser and then the teacher started pushing my boy,” Saldivar explained.

“She pushed him outside and was using bad words and language....calling him stupid and all that."

Saldivar said he just assumed that his young son might have exaggerated the truth a bit—so he asked the teen to show him exactly how the teacher pushed him.

"My boy went like this,” Saldivar said as he pushed his hands out softly. “I said I want to see how the teacher did it."

Saldivar said his son then pushed harder to show his him just how rough the altercation had been.

He said he was at a loss for words.

Saldivar said he immediately removed his son from the teacher in question’s classroom at Irene-Garcia Middle School.

But even with a new teacher—Saldivar said that day with a trusted educator still haunts his son.

"I can see that my boy is different,” Saldivar said. “It worries me a lot.”

La Joya ISD Administrators told Action 4 News that the case is currently under investigation.
