U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is expected to arrive in McAllen on  Monday night.

Napolitano is expected to tour several U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities in the Rio Grande Valley.

Details about her visit have not released but she’s expected to meet with several law enforcement agencies on Tuesday.

One of those meetings will be with the McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez, who would not go into detail about what he plans to speak to her about.

But the focus of the meeting is expected to be about border security.

Acting CPS commissioner David Aguilar will join Napolitano during a Tuesday afternoon press conference in McAllen.

Napolitano was last in the Valley for the funeral of slain U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Jaime Zapata back in February 2011.
