Cameron County probation office evacuated amid bomb threat

Authorities temporarily evacuated a Cameron County probation office in Brownsville after they allegedly received a bomb threat.

It all happend at the Cameron County Adult Probation Office off East 8th and East Harrison Streets in Brownsville early Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities searched the building and did not find anything.

Employees were allowed to return inside the building shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday.

No suspect has been identified or arrested.
