The mustang is a wild horse that roams the western plains.

If you've got land and you're looking for a horse to add to your family, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management hosts a wild horse and burro adoption event.

It takes place January 26 through 28 at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show grounds in Mercedes.
