Some five people are behind bars after a double traffic yieled more than 1,200 pounds of marijuana in northwest Pharr.
Investigators told Action 4 News that it all started with two traffic stops on the 1300 block of San Patricia Drive around 6:43 p.m. Wednesday.
Pharr police reportedly found 1,236 pounds of marijuana inside a red Chevy Cobalt and a white Ford Econoline Cargo Van.
The five people arrested were identified as:
• Julian Fernandez, 36
• Jose Martinez, 47
• Joel Cantu Garcia, 48
• Leopardo Lopez, 34
• Jose Angel Villarreal, 42
Investigators are not releasting more information at this time.
