A medical helicopter landed at Lyford High School to pick up a student who had a health-related emergency after smoking a marijuana cigarette.
It all happened shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators told Action 4 News that a female student had a medical emergency.
The student reportedly smoked marijuana and then later had chest pains.
Investigators said the students heart rate jumped up to between 160 and 180 beats per minute.
The normal heart rate is below 100 beats per minute.
It’s not clear if the marijuana cigarette was laced with any other drug.
